History
A grove between Cheomseongdae and Wolseong. The Samguk sagi says it was called Sirim until the event below, and Gyerim, Rooster Grove, afterwards.
Legend
In King Talhae’s reign a rooster was heard crowing in the grove. A golden box hung from a branch with a white rooster beneath it, and inside was a baby boy. He was named Kim Al-ji and became the founder of the Gyeongju Kim clan, it is said.
