Kim Chun-chu (King Taejong Muyeol)

History

He allied Silla with Tang China, opening the road to unification, and as king brought down Baekje in 660. His son Munmu completed the unification.

Legend

Kim Yu-sin is said to have trodden on his coat string on purpose during a ball game, and Yu-sin’s sister Munhui, who sewed it back on, became his wife.
